LVT President's Annual Report for the period of July 2009-May 2010:

First of all, I would like to thank all the members for their continued support of LVT. Your renewed membership is greatly valued. Your confidence in us and your appreciation of us as both your important source of information and as your advocate insures that we are achieving our purpose.

I would like to "Welcome" our 160 new families as of May 21st. These new memberships are a record for LVT and I thank you. I am proud to report that overall membership is ahead of last year at this time.

Our annual Newsletter was packed with relevant information and triggered a great response to our Association. "We're here for you" is well recognized as more than just words-we take action.

Communication with our members is in the process of being enhanced in the coming year. Important alerts may be communicated to member's e-mail when timely information is paramount.
We continue to encourage the use of our website www.lvtnj.org to access monthly meeting minutes which reflect current issues.
Our e-mail lvtnj@optonline.net is monitored daily. We encourage you to write to us with your concerns and we will respond to you quickly.

Members of our Executive Board are all volunteers. Many hours are spent planning, attending meetings and working at individual and shared responsibilities which is required of a well-run organization.
An Organization is only as good as the people involved. I have one of the best working Executive Boards. I thank them for being wonderful dedicated people who are a pleasure to work with.

As a Civic Organization, LVT participates in Memorial Day Services and Heritage Day. We co-sponsor a Candidate's Night for local candidates and a Holiday Decorating Contest to contribute to the holiday spirit of the community.

Three $500 Scholarships will be awarded at our June meeting. Scholarship eligibility is offered to full-time residents of Lavallette and children/grandchildren of LVT members whose dues are current. We continue to get a remarkable pool of applicants which makes the selection of narrowing the awards to three students very challenging.

In closing, I would like to say that we will continue to be a viable organization that you can turn to with your concerns.
We look to you for your continued support and thank everyone for caring about Lavallette as the place we love to be. Thanks!

    Joe Marcianti, President
